Since the beginning the Society has had corporate works. Marie Madeleine founded charity/poor schools, day and boarding schools, orphanages, night classes for women and retreat centres. The life span of a corporate work extends beyond that of an individual’s contribution. Today the Society is responsible for a range of institutions, including centres for women and refugees, schools and centres of spirituality. Without competent leadership of lay colleagues, our sphere of influence would be lessened.
