In July 2013, Doina-Amabile and Ionel Gheorghiu, CiMs from Galaţi in România, journeyed with others to places in France where the Venerable Marie Madeleine d’Houët, foundress of the FCJs, had lived and taken part in noble and spiritual activities. Every stage of the journey aroused intense feelings and emotions as we learnt about significant moments of her life, increasing our knowledge and our devotion and fidelity to this saintly woman.
The closing Mass of the pilgrimage in Rue de la Santé, Paris, gave the pilgrims from all over the world the opportunity to be united as a real Christian family as Companions in Mission. We were able to thank God for the wonderful days spent together and to pray with great enthusiasm that the foundress, known to us as Marie Madeleine d’Houët, a woman of so much virtue, be honoured and raised to sainthood.
