Camino Companions is an FCJ project in Santiago de Compostela to offer pilgrims a space to articulate and find meaning at the end of their Camino. The project runs in Room 6 of the Pilgrims Office, the welcome centre for pilgrims run by the Santiago Archidiocese and Cathedral, on Rua Carretas 33, not far from the Plaza de Obradoiro.
Many volunteers, 49 in the 2024 season, keep the project going between Easter and the end of October each year. They are lay people, religious sisters and priests, and of course FCJ sisters and Companions in Mission. We count with the invaluable support of Fr Manny Domingo, a Salesian priest from the Philippines who lives in Santiago and celebrates daily Mass in English in the chapel of the Pilgrins Office.
Fr Manny recently posted a thank you to our volunteers and some photos of their final Mass on his social media. Thank you, Fr Manny, for your support of our project.
