Congratulations to Jane Mellet, an FCJ Companion in Mission in Ireland. who has just published a book of reflections called The Deep End – A Journey with the Sunday Gospels in the Year of Luke, with Messenger Publications, Dublin.
Jane and her co-author, Triona Doherty, have been writing together for many years for various publications and now they have managed to bring the work together in this book which they hope has something to offer everyone who is seeking.
The publishers say: Welcome in the new liturgical year with this wonderful book. The Gospel of Luke was written almost 2,000 years ago but its themes are a fresh and relevant to today’s world as in the centuries after the death and resurrection of Jesus. The Deep End by Tríona Doherty and Jane Mellett invites readers to come on a journey, through the story of Luke’s Gospel, to follow Jesus in the years of his ministry.
Join the book launch online on Wednesday 29th September at 7.30pm! Details are on the image. Please email c.henry @ messenger.ie to register.
Inviting, accessible and inspiring, this new book is a wonderful invitation to enter into the Gospel of Luke, with two experienced and lively guides. Highly recommended.
