Loly Rico, a Companion in Mission and Co-Director of the FCJ Refugee Centre in Toronto, recently went to El Salvador to celebrate in her own country the canonization of Monsignor Oscar Romero. She writes:
I want to share my happiness with all of you Our Monsignor Romero was canonized today. I want to share this happiness because he is the Saint of the Americas. He is the Saint of the most vulnerable. I came to El Salvador to celebrate with my country. It is so beautiful how all his work has been recognized. Finally the Church has recognized his martyrdom and his work with the poorest of the poor.
I want to share with you our happiness.
