Sr. Frances passed away peacefully at St. Michael’s Hospital on Aug. 8, 2022 after a brief illness. She was born in London, England on May 14, 1940, and was educated by the Sisters, Faithful Companions of Jesus in London, England and entered the community in 1959.  Having graduated from University College Dublin, Sr. Frances taught in many schools throughout her career, including Middlesborough, England, Jersey (Channel Islands), London, England, Washington State, Rhode Island and Toronto (St. Mary’s and St. Michael’s College School).

Sr. Frances will be missed by her FCJ Sisters, many friends throughout the world, and by the staff and residents of Hazelton Place, where she spent the last 9 years of her life.

As part of her generosity, Sr. Frances has donated her body to science in the hopes of helping future generations.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Aug. 13 at 10 a.m. in St. Peter’s Church, 840 Bathurst St., Toronto and will be live-streamed at www.stpeterstoronto.ca
