Genazzano FCJ College hosts the the Marie Madeleine d’Houët Competition 2020. Check out two videos among the winning and highly commended prizes.
The Marie Madeleine d’Houët Competition is an annual event at Genazzano. Students are given a different stimulus each year that is based on the life and charism of Marie Madeleine d’Houët and the annual College theme. The competition was originally a writing prize; however, in the past few years, students have been given the option to present their reflection in other formats such as video or artwork.
Student submissions are received in October each year and the winners are presented at the end of year school assembly. Winning pieces are published in the yearbook. It is viewed by students and staff as a prestigious Award and the quality of applications are very high. A panel of teachers award prizes to Junior (Prep to 6), Junior Secondary (7-9) and Senior Secondary (10-12). There are overall winners as well as highly commended prizes.
