Caritas Australia next Mission in Action Seminar will be featuring the work of FCJ Sisters and colleagues at the FCJ Learning and Development Center in the Philippines.
The area FCJ Sisters work in is an urban slum built next to a local dumpsite and lies on a fault line. Many of the houses are in poor condition and some don’t have sanitation. The residents face low income and low educational levels. Many community members face health issues and some live with a disability.
For over 20 years, the FCJs, with the help of Caritas Australia and many other benefactors, have supported the local community in Quezon City, the Philippines. This program has helped people like Ronita, to gain an education, receive access to life changing healthcare, become connected with their community and experience opportunities that otherwise may never have been possible.
