Called to be a Faithful Companion of Jesus gives me a great sense of belonging to the Body of the Society. I have always drawn strength from this.
I have been captivated by Jesus through the inspiration and charism of Marie Madeleine.
I have been challenged, gently, strongly, consistently to struggle to become the empty vessel, ready and available for what ever the Lord wants. I desire to thirst for the thirst of Jesus.
The call to the Magis keeps me a searching pilgrim experiencing the agony and the ecstasy.
In all this I am inspired and encouraged by the strong bonds of companionship shared with those who follow this same call.
Jesus, my Companion, is for me Dieu de mon coeur.
Let us ask Our Lord to give us the spirit of the Society of Jesus; since we have its Constitutions, it is God's will that we should have its spirit.

When was the last time you gave a word of encouragement or positivity to someone close to you? I spend much of my time giving talks and workshops, and so am often publicly thanked, but I realise how different it is when someone who doesn't need to acknowledge me for something specific I have done, simply says something positive or encouraging....

Camino Companions is an FCJ project in Santiago de Compostela to offer pilgrims a space to articulate and find meaning at the end of their Camino, based at Oficina de Acogida al Peregrino. One of the project volunteers, Sr Maire, a Sister of Mercy from Ireland, reflects on her experience of welcoming pilgrims in Santiago.

September 8 marked the anniversary of the first vows Sr Imelda, a member of the FCJ community in Turin. Her first vows were taken in our former chapel in Via Lanfranchi. Some of the other members of the community were young girls or young pre-postulants at the time and they gathered again to celebrate the anniversary.
