It is always a joy to welcome different priests and friends to our community for Mass and meal every month. It has been a chance to get to know them and to offer them our support, companionship and hospitality. For the beginning of this year, we welcomed FrΒ Jacob, Jesuit from India, director of the Myanmar Leadership InstituteΒ and some friendsΒ from MyanmarΒ and Indonesia.Β Among other Β intentions we offered during the Mass, we gave God thanks for Β theΒ community members whose birthday is in January.
We also offered our thanksgiving for Godβs faithfulness since our first arrival in Myanmar on January 9, 2009Β – ten years ago! – and reminiscedΒ those who have showed companionship and supportΒ to us over the years. After Mass it was time to enjoy celebratory meal, with a blend of Myanmar and Indonesian cuisine.
