All staff of FCJ Christian Life Centre, the retreat and conference centre of the Sisters Faithful Companions of Jesus in Calgary, had a great Pre-Christmas celebration on December 16th combined with their efforts to help the homeless.
In the morning they stuffed socks with useful items e.g. toothbrush/toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, wool toque, comb, etc. All items were donated by generous friends of the Center. All the stuffed socks will be delivered to the Calgary Alpha House, a safe heaven for homeless people whose lives are affected by drugs and alcohol.
The centre staff celebrations continued as they enjoyed a festive lunch and watched a movie together.
