You can read an article about Sr. Joanna's departure from the Raleigh Diocese in NC Catholics Online.

Bishop Burbidge expressed his gratitude to Sister Joanna for her many years of service to the Church in eastern North Carolina, saying Sister Joanna leaves our Diocese having faithfully served on our Diocesan Ecumenical Commission and the Cathedral Building Committee, along with many in our Diocese, including those students at Duke University, who upon graduation, have become Catholic leaders in our country. As Sister Joanna now begins this new service to assist the General Superior of the Faithful Companions of Jesus, I assure her of my prayerful best wishes and those of all the faithful here in the Diocese of Raleigh.
