Statement from Sisters Faithful Companions of Jesus in Ireland
The Sisters Faithful Companions of Jesus in Ireland invited the National Board for Safeguarding Children in the Catholic Church in Ireland (NBSCCCI) to conduct a review of its safeguarding policies and procedures in 2014. (Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults: Policies and Procedures 2013: View the Policies and Procedures here.)
We acknowledge the work that has been done by the NBSCCCI in conducting this review. We welcome the report of the review (view the Report here) and its findings. We apologise sincerely to any person who may have been harmed by a member of our Congregation. We accept the recommendation made in the report and will ensure that it is implemented.
We wish to reassure all that we are committed to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults and will work with the NBSCCCI to ensure that this commitment will continue to be a priority for us.
