St. John’s Students reach out to Japan after Tsunami
Beautiful drawings, still on display in the City Hall, Sendai, Japan, were made by 7th Grade students from St. John’s international school, Waterloo, Belgium. The drawings were sent to Japan to offer comfort to the people of Japan after the tsunami which hit Japan in March 2010.
Recently the students discovered that the drawings made a real impact! A Belgian couple, whose friends in Japan had photographed the drawings and sent them copies, came to visit St. John’s to tell the students what a difference their gesture had made.
